Flexible and scalable

Shared services or your own server clusters

Depending on your needs, you can use the server clusters we provide. With this “shared service,” the available resources are shared according to the fair use principle. Alternatively, we can install and host dedicated servers and scalable server clusters for you.

Product Description

Meetings, conferences, training sessions, or events: our video conferencing systems allow you to flexibly host digital events of any size and shape. Our systems are available, compliant with data protection regulations, and customised to meet your needs. With special configurations, they allow several thousand participants simultaneously and an unlimited number of parallel rooms. We use the open source video conferencing software BigBlueButton, which we host and maintain on our server clusters or on our customers' servers.

Digital conferences and meetings are increasingly becoming long-term elements of collaboration and life. It is clear to see: online meetings and digital events are here to stay and will continue to be important elements of communication. Video conferencing systems reduce travel times and increase flexibility. Hybrid events with on-site attendance and online participants are just as possible as purely digital meetings and conferences.

Functionalities

The BigBlueButton software offers all the features you need for your video conference. As an administrator, you create your room in Greenlight, Moodle, or Nextcloud, share the link to the room, and you're ready to go. The software is intuitive to use and offers numerous features to support your digital meeting. You can access it via a browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari), no additional software installation is required.


Echo test	All participants complete an echo test when they join the conference. This allows them to select and test all available sound and image sources (e.g., integrated speaker, headset, integrated camera, external camera).
Settings	In the general settings, you can enable or disable notifications, among other things. You can choose whether you want to receive audio or pop-up notifications when participants enter a room or a chat message is posted. If your Internet connection is too slow, you can enable a data-saving mode (e.g., no video transmission).
Permissions for participants	In some situations, it makes sense to restrict participant rights. Among other features you can set whether cameras and microphones are allowed or chat messages can be sent also the visibility of the participant list can also be restricted.
Group rooms	Administrators can set up so-called “breakout rooms” and assign participants to these rooms either specifically or randomly. This is done simply by dragging and dropping the individual participants into the rooms. The number of rooms and the duration of the breakout sessions can be set.
Share content	As a presenter, you can share content with the other participants. There are several ways to do this. You can share your own screen using the screen icon at the bottom center. In addition, PDF documents can be uploaded. These are then securely available and remain visible to others even if the presenter experiences connection problems. External videos can be shared in the conference via a video URL.
