Customised hardware involves combining the right components to create a complete solution. We advise on the use of standard components such as chips, microcontrollers and motherboards. We then combine these with other elements, supplementing them with specially developed components such as circuit boards, to design the optimal hardware. The focus on standard components ensures long-term compatibility and availability.

From design concept to construction

We offer a range of services, from requirements analysis and concept development to appliance design.

Modelling

Initial design models are used to check how the planned hardware or solution can be implemented.

3D printing

Realistic proof-of-concept prototypes are created using 3D printing to demonstrate how the hardware works and to trail the installation of components such as cables, controllers, circuit boards, etc.

Product life cycle

It is essential to consider product life cycles and resilience at all stages of development. All hardware is designed using durable components. Wear parts are installed in such a way that they can be quickly and easily replaced — ideally by customers themselves.

Collaborative development

All IT hardware is designed in close collaboration with our customers and partner companies. This ensures that the needs of users are met while also addressing the current state of the art with experts.

Construction drawings

We provide all our customers with design drawings for the hardware components they have ordered. This enables them to be independent and develop their IT hardware further if necessary.

Research

Depending on the requirements and level of complexity, we design and implement the most suitable hardware and software solutions in collaboration with our partner companies specialising in electronics, FPGA programming and mechanical engineering etc. If the development goals are long-term and current state-of-the-art technologies are insufficient, the most effective approach is a research project.
